Restorative Yoga with Massage
Come deeply nourish and nurture yourself with the ultimate in self-care. Class is led by a couple with over 20 years combined experience in restorative yoga and massage therapy. Expect an amazing deeply relaxing experience as they draw from several different modalities including intuitive body/energy work, deep tissue massage, shiatsu, assisted stretching, myofascial release, sound healing with Himalayan Crystal Bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls & Chakra Aligned Tuning Forks and aromatherapy all while in fully supported yoga poses (no yoga experience necessary). Class is delicately infused with 5 Element theory according to what season it is and the associated element and organ systems as well as some yogic philosophy weaved in.
There is a light focus on breathwork to help drop into the innermost layers of yourself. This is offered with lots of props to help you be completely comfortable in each and every pose. Class is led with a gentle and safe approach in order for you to ease into after the stressors of a long day. Leave class feeling refreshed, relaxed, restored and rejuvenated. A little more information about restorative yoga and its health benefits: Restorative yoga is the antidote to stress. The slower pace and deep breathing that you get in restorative class triggers the parasympathetic nervous system from the very first pose. This activation helps to mitigate the effects of the regular fight or flight stress response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. The overall calming effect on the nervous system sets a deeply relaxing tone for the class that comforts your mind and body down to the cellular level. As an extra special luxurious treat, in this class being offered, you will also receive generous amounts of massage from TWO bodyworkers while easily relaxing in the fully supported restorative poses.
